The Inland Northwest and Northern Rockies Region
Birds of the Inland Northwest and Northern Rockies includes Eastern Oregon, Eastern Washington, all of Idaho, and Western Montana. This encompasses the area east of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon and Washington, across Idaho and through the Rocky Mountains of Montana. The entire geographical area is depicted on the map inside the front cover.
There are over a dozen local National Audubon Society chapters and a number of local bird clubs that strive to educate people, and address and improve environmental conditions that impact birds and subsequently mankind. The chapters and bird clubs are located in:
Eastern Oregon: Bend, John Day, Klamath Falls, La Grande
Eastern Washington: Ellensburg, Moses Lake, Spokane, Tri-Cities, Walla Walla, Wenatchee, Yakima.
Idaho: Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls, Moscow, Pocatello, Twin Falls Western Montana: Bozeman, Dillon, Hamilton, Helena, Kalispell, Missoula, Polson
